Car vinyl's graphics and decals Look great on
your cars, although vinyl's can be applied to more or less any
smooth clean surface..
We have
designed some fantastic vinyl's which many a car in Great Britain,
USA, France, Italy, Germany, even Australia and many more countries
are sporting.
Applying
Graphics to your car yourself is a really easy process, all it takes
is a little bit of care and patience. I will give you a few tips to
make it easier.
Before you
start make sure you have a few things to help you get the right
results.
-
A scalpel or a Stanley blade.
-
An applicator or you can use a credit card or similar (on the edge
you use, cover with a soft cloth so you don't scratch the car or
vinyl's.
-
A hair dryer or if you have one a heat gun.
-
And a spray bottle with some water a drop of washing liquid and if
you have any a drop of meths
1.
Makes sure the surface you are applying the graphics to is clean and
free from oil grease and dust.
2
Make sure you know exactly what position you are putting the
graphics in I use masking tape.
3
Spray the area with the water solution really wetting it through.
(this lets you position the graphics without them sticking straight
away and is easier to manoeuvre them about.)
4
Peel of the backing paper from your vinyl's carefully and
spray the sticky side with the water solution.
5 Now
your ready to place the graphic onto the car you will find they are
easy to move about.
6
Once applied use your applicator to press down using long strokes
from the middle to squeeze all the water out. Take your time to make
sure all the graphic is stuck down.
7
Once you are happy and the sticker is on wet the application tape
holding the graphic together with your water give it a press down
again then slowly start peeling of making sure your graphic stays in
place. (sometimes it starts to peel of with the paper you just need
a little patience and care)
8 Now
your graphic is applied squeeze any excess water using your
applicator with a soft cloth over it to prevent scratching you
surfaces. Cut with the sharp blade any parts of the vinyl that go
over a seam or door and use the hair dryer to mould and press down
any awkward corners or edges being careful not to make the vinyl to
hot.
9 Any
air bubbles can be pricked with your blade or a pin then lightly
worked out. (although bubbles do tend to go after a few days)
10
That's it your done. Just don't wash or wax the car for a couple of
days. If any of the edges you have cut start to peel or lift a
little just press them into place with your finger wrapped in a soft
cloth and use the hair dryer if necessary.
That's your
car or any flat surface vinyled up.
